Ohio State fans concerned about Noah Potter’s commitment status after the announcement of his brother’s decision to transfer from the Buckeyes basketball team can breathe a little easier.
Monday, Micah Potter made the decision to leave the Ohio State basketball program. The announcement was startling to fans, not just because of his status on Chris Holtmann’s squad, but because his brother, Noah, is a 4-star defensive end committed to Urban Meyer’s team.
Late afternoon Monday, Noah Potter sent out a message via his Twitter account. You could hear the sigh of relief coming out of Columbus.
“For anyone wondering, I am still 1000% committed to Ohio State,” he wrote.

The loss of Micah Potter from the basketball team is still a tough one in Columbus. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds for the Buckeyes in 59 career games. He made 16 starts during his time with the program.
His decision comes on the same week that Ohio State opens its regular season on the hardwood. But, at least the Buckeyes didn’t lose both Potters on the same day.
Noah Potter is one of the better defensive ends in the 2019 recruiting class. He’s considered to be one of the top 30 players at his position and a top 10 player out of Ohio.
