Penn State bounced back from a blowout loss to Michigan with a strong 22-10 win against Wisconsin on Saturday, improving to 7-3 (4-3) on the season while keeping sights on its third consecutive year with double-digit wins intact.

One of the reasons the Nittany Lions were able to control the game was the re-emergence of running back Miles Sanders, who broke the 100-yard mark for the first time since Week 7. Sanders finished the day with 159 yards — more production than his last three games combined — and a touchdown off 23 carries, putting him at 1,007 yards for the season.

Defensive end Shareef Miller, who himself had a huge performance with two sacks and a fumble recovery, was asked about Sanders’ outburst against the Badgers:

“It’s great when you see Miles Sanders doing his thing, man,” said Miller in the locker room. “That’s a great running back right there. That’s my brother. I respect him. I know all the hard work he put in this offseason, every day in practice — I’m happy it’s paying off for him.”

Penn State will play at Rutgers next week before finishing the regular season at home against Maryland on Nov. 24.
