Upset here, upset there.
Sure, they’re called upsets for a reason. But when some team in the AP Top 10 loses a game when they shouldn’t, it’s usually not a shocker. A Georgia team losing to an Auburn team may be a surprise in any given season, but, it happens.
In Week 11 this past weekend, however, there were no shocks.
There were no surprises either.
In the AP Top 10, each of the 10 teams played, but none of them lost. It was the first time that this late in the season the Top 10 went perfect since 2009:

You can see the results above. Again, could Auburn beat Georgia? Sure. TCU over West Virginia? Absolutely.
LSU-Arkansas was a TD game and Oklahoma got past Oklahoma State by just a point. It’s hard for one upset here or there to not occur.
We’ll take this past weekend as an exception — as the statistics show.
However, here’s a look at the slate for Week 12:
- Alabama vs. The Citadel
- Clemson vs. Duke
- Notre Dame vs. No. 13 Syracuse
- Michigan vs. Indiana
- Georgia vs. UMass
- Oklahoma vs. Kansas
- LSU vs. Rice
- Washington State vs. Arizona
- West Virginia at Oklahoma State
- Ohio State at Maryland
Do you see an upset in here? Sure, Notre Dame-Syracuse could be interesting. But each of these Top 10 teams will be favored to win.
However, they are called upsets for a reason.
