Has No. 10 Ohio State officially turned the corner?

The Buckeyes haven’t looked great the past two week. First, the team that was ranked No. 2 in the country lost to Purdue badly. Then, Ohio State followed it up with a 5-point win over Nebraska, who only has 2 wins all year.

What happened when the Buckeyes headed to East Lansing in the freezing cold?

Ohio State came away with a 26-6 victory.

The defense shined. Finally. Offensively, there were some struggles, but RB Mike Weber got going against the top rushing defense in the country with his 104 yards.

Ohio State may be in control of its own destiny going forward. After a game against Maryland, the Buckeyes host No. 4 Michigan. If they win that game, they will surely rise in the rankings.

Following that one would be the Big Ten Championship. If Ohio State wins that, it would be pretty hard leaving a 12-1 Buckeye team out of the College Football Playoff.

Here’s what FOX Sports analyst Robert Smith said about Ohio State:

Are the Buckeyes good enough?

“Maybe.”
