Minnesota’s Tyler Johnson joins elite company with 1,000-yard season

Tyler Johnson has been a serious threat with the Golden Gophers, and he joined some elite company in Saturday’s game against Northwestern.
Johnson entered the game with 948 receiving yards on the season and 1,766 yards in three years at Minnesota. After recording his fifth grab of the game, Johnson Surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the season.
He becomes just the fifth Golden Gophers player ever to surpass 1,000 yards in a season. The last to do so was Eric Decker with 1,074 yards in 2008.

Johnson has five catches for 52 yards at halftime.
