Paul Chryst received the best birthday gift he could’ve asked for: a win on Saturday.
Wisconsin escaped West Lafayette with a thrilling 47-44 win over Purdue, improving to 7-4 on the season and 5-3 in the B1G. Not only did it take three overtimes to down the Boilermakers, the Badgers had to overcome a 27-13 deficit in the fourth quarter.
Two big-time touchdown catches from Danny Davis and a 321-yard, three-touchdown performance from Jonathan Taylor — including a 17-yard game-winning scamper to the end zone — were instrumental in the win.
After the game, the Badgers celebrated with their head coach, who was celebrating his 53rd birthday on Saturday.
Winning really is the best kind of present.
Didn’t have time to wrap it, but came up with a last-minute gift 🏈🎁
