Penn State won its 30th game with Trace McSorley under center on Saturday, pushing the senior past Todd Blackledge and Tony Sacco for most all-time by a Nittany Lions starting quarterback.

McSorley didn’t finish with the greatest numbers in the 20-7 win at Rutgers — he went 17-of-37 with 183 yards and two touchdowns with an interception to boot — but his performance helped Penn State improve to 8-3 with a chance to reach double-digit wins for the third consecutive season, something the program hasn’t accomplished since 1980-82.
He also notched his 100th career touchdown against the Scarlet Knights, which is by far the most in program history.
