Michigan running back Berkley Edwards left Saturday’s 31-20 win over Indiana on a stretcher after suffering what looked like a pretty scary injury; he laid motionless on the Wolverines’ turf for 20 minutes, surrounded by doctors, trainers and coaches.
After the game, Harbaugh confirmed that Edwards suffered a concussion and that he did not experience a serious spinal injury. Not long after, his brother — former Michigan star wideout Braylon Edwards — further alleviated concerns of significant health issues:
Further updates on Berk he is moving and talking however has a dislocated shoulder as well. Once again keep praying for him we appreciated and if anybody can recover fast and 100% it’s my brother Berk. He has persevered through much and this is just the next obstacle in his way.

Edwards, who transferred from Central Michigan, was hit hard while blocking on a return. Cam Jones, the Indiana player who hit him, was called for targeting:

A severe concussion and dislocated shoulder will still take plenty of recovery, but it’s far better than what could have been considering how bad the injury looked in real time.
