Tom Brady usually gives the media the political answer. He’s always careful with his words an calculated with what he says.

But the former Michigan star and future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback had no trouble blurting out what he thinks of Saturday’s matchup between the Wolverines and Ohio State. He’s predicting a big win for his Alma Mater.

During an appearance on Kirk & Callahan on WEEI out of Boston, Brady was asked about “The Game” this Saturday and who he expects to win. He made it crystal clear that Michigan was going to thump the Buckeyes.

“I’ve lost too many years of bets to Ohio State guys, Michigan State guys. But this is our year, baby,” Brady said. “They have a great chance going to the Horseshoe. I think we’re going to kick their butt. We got a great defense.”

You heard it from Brady first, Michigan isn’t just going to win, it’s going to win big in Columbus.

Brady played at Michigan from 1996-1999 and owned a 3-1 all-time record against the Buckeyes. He started under center for the Wolverines in 1998 and 1999, splitting the two games with Ohio State.

Brady is right, though, he has lost several bets recently. Ohio State has won the last six meetings in the series, a streak Michigan desperately needs to break.

The Wolverines got a major vote of confidence from one of the best to ever play.
