How good is Michigan?
The No. 4 Wolverines are consistently listed as in when it comes to projecting the College Football Playoff due to the rankings, so the committee clearly thinks highly of Michigan. And, why wouldn’t they?
The Wolverines’ only loss came in Week 1 to what is now an undefeated No. 3 Notre Dame team. Jim Harbaugh has silenced the doubters so far.
The only challenge truly remaining is No. 10 Ohio State on Saturday. That is the game that matters for many reasons. If Michigan fails that test, the hate will likely fall on Harbaugh.
To this point, though, there can be nothing but love. On Wednesday, Harbaugh got recognized for the job he has done for this point.
The Maxwell Football Club announced its 18 semifinalist candidates for the Coach of the Year Award and Harbaugh is one of the 18:

If Harbaugh can get a win on Saturday, he’ll only be that much closer to not only getting the Wolverines to the playoff, but winning this award as well.
