WATCH: BTN analyst Joel Klatt rips selection committee for disrespecting Ohio State
Ohio State hasn’t necessarily won pretty in 2018, but the fact remains that it enters its annual rivalry game against Michigan with a 10-1 record and one win away from its second consecutive Big Ten title game appearance and an outside shot at making the College Football Playoff.
Still, the Buckeyes stayed put at No. 10 in the latest playoff rankings for the third straight week despite winning its last three games — including a solid road win at then-No. 18 Michigan State. Nonetheless, this past weekend, tOSU needed overtime to miraculously hold off 5-6 Maryland, and the committee was clearly watching.
This week the Bucks saw UCF — a Group of 5 school from the American Athletic Conference that hasn’t lost a game since 2016 — jump them in the rankings at No. 9. Big Ten Network analyst Joel Klatt made the case for Ohio State on air this afternoon, saying the committee is “disrespecting” the Urban Meyer-led team, while going as far to say that not even No. 7 LSU deserves to be ahead of it.

Regardless, all Ohio State can do is take care of what’s on its schedule — and No. 4 Michigan will easily be the biggest challenge it has faced all season.
