Iowa wasted no time getting on the scoreboard on Friday.
The Hawkeyes opened Friday’s game against Nebraska with the football and pieced together the perfect opening drive. It was an 11-play, 79-yard drive that was capped by a beautiful 15-yard touchdown pass from Nate Stanley to Brandon Smith.
Stanley was 4-of-5 for 50 yards on the drive.

The touchdown reception was just Smith’s second of the year. It was the 22nd touchdown toss for Stanley.
While there isn’t much at stake in terms of the postseason in Friday’s game, a win for Iowa gets it to another eight-win season. A victory for the Huskers means wins in five of the final six games.
