Saturday’s game against Michigan is more important than any on the schedule for Ohio State. Players and coaches have no problem recognizing that.

Not only is this weekend’s matchup between No. 4 Michigan and No. 10 Ohio State the premier contest in the B1G, it’s the marquee game in all of college football.

A division title hangs in the balance. A chance to remain in the College Football Playoff picture is at stake. It’s one of the most important games in the rivalry’s history.

During his weekly radio show, Urban Meyer was asked about the rivalry game with Michigan and how his team prepares for the Wolverines. The Ohio State head coach had no issue admitting that “The Game” is always on the minds of the Buckeyes.

“There’s no way you can work harder than we do for this game,” Meyer said according to Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch. “It’s 365.”

Some coaches attempt to deflect those kind of questions. The idea of a one-game season and every opponent is of equal importance tends to be the kind of coach-speak you here.

But this time of year, Meyer is letting everyone know just how much Ohio State prepares for Michigan.

Both the Wolverines and the Buckeyes enter Saturday’s matchup at 10-1. College GameDay will be in Columbus for the noon matchup.

The winner earns a bid to the B1G Championship Game.
