It’s been a long time since there’s been much interest in Kansas football. But with Les Miles being named the new head coach last weekend, maybe there would be a rejuvenated fanbase. Perhaps Jayhawk fans would show up for the team’s season finale against No. 14 Texas.
Wrong.
On Friday, Kansas (3-8) was hosting Texas in the regular season finale for both teams. But nobody in Lawrence really seemed to care.
Absolutely nobody showed up for Kansas’ final game of the year. And the two pictures below from Alex Loeb are just more evidence of how lousy the program has been recently.

That can’t be fun for the seniors on the team.
It’ll be interesting to see if fans show up next fall when Miles is running the show. Having won a national championship and multiple SEC titles at LSU, there’s a chance he can restore some excitement in the program.
Will it come immediately? Or will interest be delayed until the Jayhawks start winning games?
On thing is clear, Kansas fans don’t care about the final game of the David Beaty era.
