LOOK: Indiana basketball star Romeo Langford meets Tyler Trent ahead of IU-Purdue rivalry

Indiana and Purdue are squaring off in their annual rivalry showdown, but these two people set the rivalry aside for a bit ahead of kickoff.

Rome Langford is a star freshman for IU basketball. He has hit the ground running with the Hoosiers through the early start of the season. On hand for Saturday’s rivalry football game, he took time to stop and meet Tyler Trent.

Trent, who attended Purdue, is well-known as a fan and supporter of all things Boilermakers. His battle with cancer has drawn wide-spread recognition with Indiana even honoring him as a pregame captain for the game against Purdue.

Kurt Spitler with The Hoosier Net shared a photo of the meeting between Langford and Trent, and it’s a good reminder that rivals can set hatred aside for special moments:
