Ohio State secured its spot in the B1G Championship on Saturday with a dominating 62-39 win over Michigan. The Buckeyes improved to 11-1 on the year and clinched another East Division title.
After struggling for the last month, the Buckeyes put together a complete performance in the blowout win over the rivals. The offense was unstoppable and the defense, through three quarters, shut down the Wolverines.
Now, Urban Meyer focuses his attention on Northwestern and winning a second straight B1G title. This time, there’s a good shot at the College Football Playoff if Ohio State can knock off the Wildcats in Indianapolis.
Sunday, Meyer spoke with the media on the B1G Championship Game coaches teleconference. He discussed Ohio State’s performance against Michigan, the challenges that Northwestern presents and individual performances from the weekend.
Here’s what Meyer had to say on Sunday:
Meyer with the rare brief opening statement: "It's an honor to represent the East and arguably the best conference in college football." Also praises Pat Fitzgerald and the Big Ten/staff in Indianapolis.
