It hasn’t been a great weekend in Ann Arbor. And now, the week is off to a sour start, as well.
On Monday morning, 3-star running back Tim Baldwin Jr. announced his decision to decommit from Michigan. The 2020 prospect had given his verbal pledge to the program earlier this month.
Baldwin made his announcement via Twitter.
“I want to first give thanks to the Michigan coaching staff for recruiting me and getting to know my family and myself on a personal level,” Baldwin wrote. “After careful consideration, speaking with my parents and Michigan coaching staff, I have decided to decommit from Michigan and reopen my recruitment.”

The 3-star back out of Ashburn, Virginia, is currently ranked as the 29th-best ball carrier in the 2020 class and is a top 350 player, according to 247Sports.
Baldwin has received offers from 10 other programs, including Maryland and Rutgers out of the B1G. Other interest schools include Virginia, West Virginia and Boston College.
Michigan’s 2020 recruiting class is now down to just four commitments.
