Mississippi State and Ole Miss got in a brawl on national television on Thanksgiving night, which wasn’t a very good look for either school or the SEC as a conference.
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey released a statement regarding the Egg Bowl incident late Monday afternoon, stating he’s going to have both athletic directors meet with him this offseason to find out how to create a better environment for this game moving forward:

Mississippi State finished the regular season 8-4 (4-4) and awaits its bowl game invitation after championship weekend. Ole Miss posted a 5-7 (1-7) record, as the Rebels completed the second year of a NCAA-imposed postseason ban.
