It has been a bit of a rough stretch for UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton, but it appears he is off to a good start in the recovery process.

Milton originally suffered a nasty knee injury in a Black Friday game against South Florida. He would require emergency surgery soon after the injury, and he still faces a long road to recovery ahead of him.

Fortunately, the early signs are positive regarding Milton’s progress. ESPN’s Maria Taylor shared an update from Milton’s mother that indicated McKenzie has been discharged from the hospital. Additionally, the update said that doctors are “encouraged” by movement in McKenzie’s toes:

Taylor also shared a video message from Milton where he thanked everyone for thoughts and prayers directed his way:

Hopefully his recovery continues to go smoothly.
