Another shutout, another rise in the top 25.
Michigan moved up to No. 21 in the Coaches Poll after shutting out Maryland 28-0 on Saturday. This, however, was the first time the Wolverines cracked the Coaches Poll after they were the first team out last week.
The back-to-back shutouts marked the first time Michigan achieved such a feat since 2000. In the last 15 quarters, the Wolverines have only allowed one touchdown.
They did so by holding Maryland to 1-of-18 on third downs, 13 of which led to three-and-outs. Jim Harbaugh’s group has outscored opponents 122-14 in its last four games.
The Wolverines will look to continue their dominant ways when they host Northwestern for homecoming at the Big House.
