Jim Harbaugh still believes Michigan has a lot to play for in its bowl game.

The Wolverines are gearing up for a Peach Bowl battle with the Florida Gators, and Harbaugh took time to address the matchup Sunday. Michigan was hosting the annual football awards show for the Wolverines when he commented on the upcoming showdown.

According to Harbaugh, the possibility for this year’s squad to reach 11 wins provides plenty of “determination and focus” for the game. He commented that it would be just the 11th time in program history for a team to reach 11 wins in a season:

The last team to reach the 11-win mark was in 2011, during Brady Hoke’s first year with the team. The Wolverines finished that year 11-2 with a win over Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.

Unfortunately for Harbaugh, the loss to Ohio State kept the Wolverines at 10 wins this season. Harbaugh has won 10 games three times but is 1-2 in bowl games at Michigan. However, his lone bowl win came over Florida following the 2015 season.
