ESPN announces halftime performer for CFB Playoff title game

ESPN has announced which musical group will be performing at halftime of this years College Football Playoff national championship game.

Imagine Dragons will be performing at halftime of the championship game on Jan. 7, 2019. The game will be played in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

This season, ESPN has used Imagine Dragons’ song “Natural” as the theme song to promote specific games on the network and ABC throughout the college football season.

Grammy Award winners Imagine Dragons will perform at halftime of the College Football Playoff championship game on Jan. 7.

ESPN and Interscope Records announced the performance Monday.

For the second consecutive season, the College Football Playoff will feature a Super Bowl-type halftime performance for the television audience. The school bands will still perform at halftime of the game in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The College Football Playoff semifinal matchups will feature No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 2 Clemson vs. No. 3 Notre Dame. The winners of the two games will compete for the national title.
