The 2018 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl is going to be one to remember, and the two teams participating haven’t even taken the field yet.

Tuesday morning, the Armed Forces Bowl sent out a press release stating that the game has been sold out for the first time in the bowl’s 16-year history. The matchup features No. 22 Army (10-2) and Houston (8-4).

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 22. The game is played at TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium.

While there was no mention of the number of tickets sold for the game, the capacity for Amon G. Carter Stadium is listed at 50,000. That’s a pretty good crowd for an Army-Houston matchup.

According to the release, the winner of Saturday’s contest will be the first three-time winner in the bowl’s history, as well.

There’s a lot of reasons to tune into ESPN on Saturday.
