Jeremy Langford has bounced around the NFL, but he is back on an NFL active roster for the first time during the regular season in 2018.
Langford was a star during his time at Michigan State. The Spartans’ running back rushed for 2,967 yards and 40 TDs after transitioning from defensive back. He recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2013-14 and was a part of Michigan State’s Rose Bowl win following the 2013 season.
Langford was drafted by the Chicago Bears and played parts of two seasons with the team. He has since bounced around the league, but now he has found a new home for the time being.
The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that Langford was being promoted to the active roster to take the spot of injured RB Ito Smith. Tevin Coleman out of Indiana will likely continue to start as Devonta Freeman remains on IR, but Langford will likely see action against the Carolina Panthers Sunday.
Hopefully Langford can make an impression and stick with the team for the rest of the season.
