Everyone wants their favorite team to sign all the top recruits this time of year. It’s natural to hope that those 4- and 5-star prospects give a commitment to the squad you love.
But there’s a line between being a fan and being disrespectful and childish. And a Florida pastor crossed that line on Wednesday, the first day of Early Signing Period.
Don’t worry, Michigan’s director of recruiting put the guy in his place.
Wednesday, 5-star safety Dax Hill — who decommitted from Michigan, gave a verbal pledge to Alabama — had a change of heart and inked with the Wolverines again. That decision was well received by Michigan fans. Not so much by Alabama fans.
A pastor from Florida — and an Alabama fan — called out Hill on Twitter, blasting the talented safety for choosing Michigan.
“Welcome to the mediocrity in Ann Arbor,” said Tim Coleman, who is a pastor in Pensacola, Florida according to his Twitter bio. “Low character guys deserve [Jim] Harbaugh.”

That’s mature, right? But not to worry, Matt Dudek, Michigan’s director of recruiting, fired back an excellent response to the pastor.
“Peace be with you Pastor [Tim Coleman],” Dudek responded on Twitter.
Coleman’s tweet has since been deleted.
This seems like an important time to remind people that kids signing their Letters of Intent are 17- and 18-year-old kids. That kind of response from an adult is inexcusable.
