The Early Signing Period for the Class of 2019 is here and it started on Wednesday.

Verbal commits were finally able to officially sign to the school they wanted to attend.

At Iowa, this was no different. Tyler Goodson, labeled as a 3-star RB from the state of Georgia, signed and is ready to become a Hawkeye in 2019. The entire Iowa class can be seen here.

People think highly of Goodson. And actually, a lot higher than what a 3-star recruit would indicate. Count BTN analyst Gerry DiNardo as one of those people.

Here’s what he had to say about Goodson and his future at Iowa:

“He’s got it all,” Big Ten Network Analyst Gerry DiNardo said during the signing day special. “He’s going to play next year, he’s going to break records. I love this guy. He’s got great vision and you look at his moves. He’s got it all– he’s my sleeper guy. He’s way underrated at three stars.”

At one point, DiNardo said that it was a “complete joke” that Goodson was deemed a 3-star prospect.

Here’s what Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said about the incoming freshman:

“We think he’s a really talented back,” Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz said on Wednesday. “He’s one of those guys that played on a state championship team. He’s got really good skills, and I think he’ll fit what we’re looking for. I like our backs right now. The three backs that we saw play this year — we didn’t get to see a lot of Ivory, but the other two guys have really done a good job, and I think he’ll hopefully help supplement that group.”

Iowa’s bowl game against Mississippi State is scheduled for a noon start on Tuesday, Jan. 1. The Outback Bowl will help kickstart the 2019 season for the Hawkeyes.
