Taylor Lewan felt like his running back was being targeted, so the Tennessee Titans offensive lineman took matters into his own hands following Saturday’s game against the Washington Redskins.
The Titans have been hot as of late, winning their last four games and improving to 9-6 on the season. A large reason behind that success has been thanks to the efforts of running back Derrick Henry.
Henry had another solid outing for Tennessee again Saturday, rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on 21 attempts as the Titans posted a 25-16 victory over the Redskins. But throughout the game, Lewan saw something he didn’t appreciate. He thought Washington star defensive back Josh Norman was trying to injure the running back.
Following the game, Lewan approached the Washington sideline, sending a message to Norman. The defensive back didn’t like the sentiment.

After the game, Henry said he didn’t think that Norman was targeting him. Still, the running back has to feel safe knowing Lewan was willing to stand up for him.
