There may come a time at some point in the college basketball season when Ohio State gets renamed Lob City. At least that will be the case if the Buckeyes to throw down some impressive alley-oops.
Saturday, Ohio State recorded its 11th victory of the season, downing UCLA 80-66 in a neutral-site matchup in Chicago. In the process of getting that win, the Buckeyes threw down a pair of tremendous alley-oops. One of those came from beyond half court.
The first came on a pass from Duane Washington Jr. to Kyle Young early in the second half. The slam gave the Buckeyes a 47-39 lead.

Seven minutes later, Young was the recipient of another beautiful lob, this time from Keyshawn Woods. And it came from beyond half court.

Yeah, you don’t see that too often.
Young finished the game with 11 points off the bench, but those were two pretty loud slams. Woods had an excellent day distributing the basketball, finishing with 10 assists.
Ohio State is now 11-1 on the season. The 15th-ranked Buckeyes have just one non-conference game remaining, a Dec. 29 clash against High Point in Columbus.
