Illinois commit named Missouri’s Offensive Player of the Year

A member of Illinois’ 2019 recruiting class has been named the Offensive Player of the Year in Missouri.
Isaiah Williams out of Trinity Catholic High School in St. Louis, Missouri was named the state’s Offensive Player of the Year after an explosive year at quarterback. He led his team to a 13-2 record and a Class 3 state championship.
Williams threw for 2,470 yards and 33 touchdowns and added 1,132 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground in his senior season. He threw just three interceptions.
He was also named the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year.
Williams is a 4-star athlete in the 2019 class and is ranked as the No. 5 athlete and the top prospect out of Missouri. Overall, he ranks 109th in the class, according to 247Sports.
Illinois locked up Williams’ commitment during the early signing period, as the star athlete signed his Letter of Intent with the Illini. He’s the team’s second-highest rated player in the class, behind only Marquez Beason out of Texas.
