First, Wisconsin embarrassed Miami on the Yankee Stadium field. Then, the Badgers mocked the Hurricanes on social media.
Wisconsin posted an impressive 35-3 victory over Miami in the Pinstripe Bowl on Thursday, finishing the year 8-5 and knocking off the Hurricanes in the postseason for a second straight year. But the Badgers weren’t done taking shots once the final horn sounded.
The Badgers’ onslaught spilled over to Twitter, where they threw major shade at the Hurricanes. As you might expect, it involved the Turnover Chain.
“Tonight was off the chain!” Wisconsin Football wrote on Twitter following the game, taking an obvious shot at the Turnover Chain.

For Wisconsin, the game was most certainly “off the chain.”
The Badgers jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. He eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark for the year, becoming just the third Badger to hit the mark.
And as for the Turnover Chain? Wisconsin was the one forcing all the turnovers, intercepting four Hurricanes passes and recovering a fumble to total five takeaways.
Maybe the Turnover Chain actually belongs in Madison.
