The Camping World Bowl is off and running Friday evening, and West Virginia lost one defender due to an ugly hit that was called for targeting.
The showdown between West Virginia and Syracuse is set up to be a good one between top 25 teams looking to end the season on a high note. West Virginia held a 9-7 lead early on, but the Mountaineers will be without safety Kenny Robinson Jr. for the rest of the game.
Robinson was ejected for targeting after a nasty hit on a Syracuse wide receiver. The receiver was already falling to the ground when Robinson clearly lowered his head and delivered an ugly helmet-to-helmet shot at the end of the play.
Needless to say, the officials made the right call on this one:

Syracuse would finish the drive off with a touchdown to take a 14-9 lead.
