LeBron James does exactly what you’re suppose to do on New Year’s Day; watch college football.
James, a huge Ohio State football fan, actually welcomes his hometown team to his new home as the Buckeyes are in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. James, of course, is now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Prior to Ohio State and Washington kicking off, the NBA superstar had a message for his favorite team, showing support for Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes.
“Good luck [Ohio State] in the [Rose Bowl] today!!” James wrote on Twitter. “Do what we do. Excellence/Domination at all 3 (offensively, defensively, special teams.”

James frequently shows his support for Ohio State through social media. He’s also known for attending some of the more high-profile games throughout the season.
This season marks the first time in a decade the Buckeyes have played in the Rose Bowl. James is really hoping he gets to see his team win in his new city.
