PHOTO: Northwestern to rock 1995 throwbacks for Iowa game

Northwestern is back in black.
The Wildcats announced on Monday that they’ll be wearing all-black tops that resemble the team’s 1995 jerseys. The throwback look will debut on Saturday against Iowa.
Here’s a look at Under Armour’s take on the 1995 uniforms.
Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald should be familiar with Under Armour’s take on the throwbacks. Back in 1995, he was leading the Wildcat defense to a Rose Bowl in the same look.
There’s even a patch on the collar bone to commemorate the Cats’ last Rose Bowl appearance. Surely Fitzgerald wouldn’t mind if they brought a little Rose Bowl magic with them.
The Wildcats and Hawkeyes will square off in Evanston at 11 a.m. CT on ABC/ESPN2.
