K.J. Hamler isn’t messing around. The Penn State wide receiver had a pretty loud message for some disingenuous fans on Wednesday.

Penn State fired wide receivers coach David Corley on Wednesday after one season with the program. Following the Nittany Lions’ 27-24 loss to Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl and ending the year 9-4, head coach James Franklin decided to make a change.

After the announcement, there were some not-so-kind words for Corley on social media. Hamler wasn’t putting up with any of it.

“Y’all really don’t understand that this is my wide receiver coach[‘s] job,” Hamler wrote on Twitter. “Has a wife and kids, just moved into a crib and y’all not even wishing him the best of luck or nothing like that. SMH swear y’all be wishy washy and I don’t mess wit dat.”

Social media isn’t the best place to be after situations like this. Most players usually keep to themselves, but Hamler needed to defend his coach.

While Penn State had its troubles in the passing game this season, Hamler enjoyed a nice season for the Nittany Lions. He had 42 receptions for 754 yards and five touchdowns. Hamler also added 44 yards and a score on the ground.

Prior to his arrival at Penn State, Corley had stops at William & Mary, Connecticut and Army.
