Ohio State’s quarterback situation completely changed on Friday.
Letterman Row first reported that former 5-star and Georgia quarterback Justin Fields was leaving his home state to join the Buckeyes in Columbus. It was a huge addition to the Ohio State roster and a major victory for Ryan Day after just a few days as head coach.
After the news broke, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic spoke with Big Ten Network about the significance of Fields’ decision to join Ohio State and the type of impact he can have in Columbus. Needless to say, Feldman believes the Buckeyes are in really good shape moving forward.
Fields’ decision to join Ohio State likely means that Dwayne Haskins is headed to the NFL, though he’s still not made a decision. If that’s the case, the starting job in 2019 will be a battle between Fields and Tate Martell.
