Michigan’s Khaleke Hudson is returning to Ann Arbor for one final season.
Friday afternoon, the junior linebacker announced via Twitter that he would return to the maize and blue for his senior year. That’s huge news for Michigan, which is losing several talented players to the NFL Draft and graduation.
“Michigan football has unfinished business,” Hudson wrote. “While we had some great moments this past season, we’re just scratching the surface. We want more.
“I have unfinished business. On and off the field. I want to continue to be a leader and example for teammates. I want to improve my game. I want to work toward my degree. I want to play again for the Wolverine fans across the country. I’m excited to return for my senior season at Michigan.”

Michigan is losing defensive stars Rashan Gary, Devin Bush Jr., Chase Winovich and David Long. While there are some talented player coming back — Josh Metellus and Lavert Hill — Hudson’s announcement is a huge boost for the Wolverines.
Hudson recorded 44 stops and 3.5 tackles for loss in 2018 while appearing in all 13 games. The linebacker had a huge year in 2017, totaling 82 tackles, 18 for loss and eight sacks.
In addition to the defensive returners, quarterback Shea Patterson will also be back in Ann Arbor to finish out his collegiate career.
There is a lot of talent that Jim Harbaugh will have to replace next season, but there are plenty of stars making their return, too.
Hudson will have the chance to be one of the B1G’s top linebackers next fall.
