Purdue’s recruiting class landed one of the top receivers of 2019, as 4-star Indiana native David Bell committed to the Boilermakers during Saturday’s All-American Bowl. It was a huge addition to a loaded class for Jeff Brohm and Co.

One current Boilermaker back in West Lafayette was particularly fired up after the announcement.

Freshman sensation Rondale Moore was locked in, watching the All-American Bowl and hoping that Bell would join him in West Lafayette next season. After Bell picked up the Ohio State hat, Moore could be heard saying “You better not.”

Bell than put the Purdue hat on his head and Moore, as you can tell in the video, was ecstatic.

Bell was ranked as one of the top 20 receivers in the 2019 class, and was the second-best player in Indiana. Overall, he was hovering around the top 100 spots according to 247Sports.

His commitment gives the Boilermakers another dynamic playmaker for Brohm’s high-powered offense. It gives Moore a great partner in the passing game, too.

Last season, Moore earned B1G Receiver of the Year, Freshman of the Year and was a consensus All-American for his role with the Boilers. He finished his first season in West Lafayette with 114 receptions for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was also effective in the return game and utilized in the rushing attack occasionally.

Saturday was a huge day for Purdue on the recruiting front, and Moore is already fired up about the 2019 season.
