Vegas has revealed the odds for the 2019 Heisman Trophy favorite. It should come as no surprise that Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is at the top of the list.
Lawrence was extraordinary in the championship game on Monday night, throwing for 327 yards and three touchdowns in Clemson’s 44-16 drubbing of Alabama. He’s bee given the best odds to claim the 2019 Heisman Trophy at +300.
Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was second at +350. After that, there’s a pretty steep drop-off.
Updated odds to win the 2019 Heisman Trophy (@BovadaOfficial):
Lawrence +300
Tagovailoa +350
Fromm +850
Taylor +900
Swift/Etienne +950
Ehlinger +1000
Kendall/Jeudy/Martell +1400
Dillon/Moore/Patterson +2000
Martinez/Benjamin +3000
Hurts/Costello +3000
King/Bryant/Tate +4000— Odds Shark (@OddsShark) January 8, 2019
There are a few B1G names that make the list. Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor had the best odds of anyone in the conference at +900. Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell is at +1400.
Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore and Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson are both at +2000, and Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez is set at +3000.
The B1G has plenty of quality talent coming back and there are a few guys who should be in the Heisman race all year long. The conference hasn’t won the award since Troy Smith claimed it in 2006.
Will that change in 2019?
