Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell entered the NCAA transfer portal last week, giving him the opportunity to explore other opportunities outside of Columbus. After a few days, a few favorites have emerged as potential landing spots for the Buckeye.

According to 247Sports, Martell is eyeing Louisville, Miami and West Virginia as potential destinations. The quarterback is expected to visit all three at some point this week.

Martell was apparently already at West Virginia on Sunday, according to a post on his Instagram story. He posted an image of a sign with Morgantown road sign in the picture.

Martell is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks regarding his transfer destination. He made the choice to enter the transfer portal after former Georgia quarterback Justin Fields announced he was headed to Ohio State.

Entering his name into the transfer database doesn’t guarantee his departure from Ohio State, but based on his recent actions, it’s likely Martell is out. He’s followed other college football coaches on Twitter, removed “Ohio State” from his Twitter profile and, now, is visiting other schools.

Martell played in six games for the Buckeyes in 2018. He completed 23 of 28 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 128 yards and two scores.
