Minnesota defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae is leaving the Gophers for a similar position at West Virginia, according to a report.

247Sports’ Ryan Burns reported on Monday that Addae is leaving Minneapolis and will become the cornerbacks coach on Neal Brown’s staff at West Virginia. He was a former defensive back for the Mountaineers, playing from 2001-2005.

Addae leaves after just one season on P.J. Fleck’s staff.

Prior to arriving in Minneapolis, Addae was the defensive backs coach on Rich Rodriguez’s staff at Arizona from 2016-2017. He was an analyst for the program from 2013-2015.

This will be Addae’s first job on the West Virginia staff since serving as a graduate assistant in 2007.
