Minnesota has developed plenty of new uniform combinations since the P.J. Fleck era started in 2017. And now, one of those combinations is a nominee for UNISWAG’s Uniform of the Year.
The uniform up for consideration is Minnesota’s chrome gold helmet with a maroon top and maroon pants. The Gophers sported the sleek combo against Iowa in the battle for Floyd of Rosedale.
Fourteen teams are listed as nominees for the Uniform of the Year Award. Along with Minnesota, the other 13 squads are: Air Force, Army, Cal, Colgate, LSU, Mississippi State, NC State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Tulane, UCF and Utah.
Below is a video showing which uniforms are up for nomination.
