The first half of Wednesday’s game against Purdue didn’t quite go as Ohio State had planned, but the Buckeyes got a nice spark going into the locker room.

With time winding down in the first half, Ohio State’s Andre Wesson was able to fire up a shot from half court as time expired. The ball banked off the backboard and went through the hoop, pulling the Buckeyes within 10 at the half.

Purdue took a 39-29 lead after the first 20 minutes.

Wesson finished the half with seven points and made all three of his shot attempts, including the half-court heave. He and C.J. Jackson led the Buckeyes in scoring.

The Buckeyes are hoping that shot will bring some momentum in the second half against Purdue.
