Michigan DL Reuben Jones enters NCAA transfer portal

Michigan senior defensive lineman Reuben Jones has entered the NCAA transfer portal and will explore other options, according to a report.
Cole Cubelic of SEC Network reported that Jones’ name was in the transfer database. While it doesn’t necessarily mean that the defensive lineman is guaranteed to transfer, he will look at other opportunities across college football.
Jones was a fourth-year junior in 2018 at Michigan. He will complete his degree in May and will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer, should he in fact decide to leave Ann Arbor.

Jones was a member of Harbaugh’s first recruiting class at Michigan in 2015. In his four years in Ann Arbor, he’s made appearances in 16 career games. He was redshirted as a true freshman in 2016.
During his career, Jones totaled seven tackles and one stop for loss.
Should he transfer from Michigan, Jones will be the sixth player to leave the program since the start of the 2018 season. The Lakeland, Fla. native will have one year of eligibility remaining.
