The mother of two Ohio State basketball stars is speaking out against the Michigan student section following Tuesday night’s rivalry bout in Ann Arbor.

Stephanie Wesson, the mother of Andre and Kaleb Wesson, blasted the Michigan students in attendance at Crisler Arena on Tuesday night, referring to them as the most “disrespectful” she has ever witnessed.

“I have NEVER seen a more disrespectful student section than Michigan,” Wesson wrote after the game Tuesday. “WOW. Spitting, cussing, throw foam lights at the guest team. Horrible and the administration allows this type of behavior. This is the second year in a row that I have witnessed this.”

Michigan defeated Ohio State 65-49.

Certainly things get a little more heated during a rivalry game, for everyone involved. Players, coaches, parents and fans tend to get more riled up in those situations. But, if what Wesson says happened is true, there’s really no place for that behavior.

Tuesday night was the only head to head matchup between the bitter rivals in the regular season. Any rematch would either have to come in the B1G or NCAA tournaments.
