Wisconsin guard Brad Davison has been the topic of conversation around the B1G for the past several days, after he appeared to slide his foot underneath Minnesota’s Jordan Murphy as the Gophers star was coming to the ground with a rebound.

The play, which was caught on video, has been considered a dirty play from Davison. And, over the last week, he’s drawn comparisons to former Duke guard Grayson Allen, who became infamous for his mischievous antics.

Davison recently made a statement regarding the play and his intent in Wisconsin’s game against Minnesota.

“I would never try to hurt somebody, especially somebody I know,” Davison told the Associated Press. “Its just an unfortunate incident that happens in a high-level, full-speed sport.”

Here’s the play from last week in which it appears Davison slides his foot under Murphy. This is the kind of move that can lead to a season-ending injury:

It’s impossible to know the intent, but that doesn’t look too good for Davison.

This year, Davison has gained a reputation was one of the more intense and energetic players in college basketball. He was one of those do-it-all glue guys that are so important in the game. But after his latest antics, he’s starting to be labeled as a dirty player.

B1G officials will likely keep a closer eye on the Wisconsin guard moving forward.
