Fans vote Charles Woodson best defensive player in CFB history

The debate has been settled, Charles Woodson has been named the best defensive player in college football history. Well, at least by a chunk of fans who follow FOX Sports on Twitter.
Last week, FOX Sports asked fans to vote for the all-time greatest defensive player in the history of college football. There were plenty of great candidates, but Woodson was the one who received the most recognition.
Pretty fitting, as Woodson is the only primary defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy, claiming the award in 1997.

Woodson was an all-purpose player and was used as a receiver, punt returner and kick returner, along with his defensive duties. He totaled seven interceptions and four touchdowns in 1997, his final year in Ann Arbor.
Woodson went on to have an 18-year career in the NFL, spending all of those seasons with the Oakland Raiders (1998-2005, 2013-2015) and Green Bay Packers (2006-2012).
As great as his NFL career was, Woodson will always be remembered as one of the greatest defenders in college football history and one of the all-time greats ever to play at Michigan.
Clearly people still remember just how dominant he was on the college gridiron.
