Former Michigan TE Ricardo Miller signs with WWE

A former Michigan football player has landed a job in sports entertainment.
This week, the WWE announced its new recruiting class this week, which has arrived at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. On the list was former Michigan tight end Ricardo Miller, who was a member of the Wolverines’ 2010 recruiting class and was in Ann Arbor until the 2012 season.
Miller then transferred from Michigan to UMass to complete his college career.
Following his college career, Miller played for the Saarland Hurricanes in the German Football League. The former tight end impressed WWE scouts with his 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame and athleticism.
Transitioning from football to the WWE isn’t an uncommon practice for athletes. Some of the more popular names in the sports entertainment world — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Brock Lesnar, to name a few — also played college football. Johnson was at Miami and Lesnar played at Minnesota.
Miller is from the Orlando area, so his arrival at the WWE Performance Center is somewhat of a homecoming.
