Penn State has received its fifth commitment of the 2020 recruiting class.

Tuesday, three-star dual-threat quarterback Micah Bowens gave his verbal pledge to Penn State. The Las Vegas native made his announcement through a post on Twitter.

“I will be committing to the Penn State [University],” Bowens wrote on Twitter. “Thank you Coach Rahne and Coach Franklin for this amazing opportunity!”

Bowens is listed as the No. 4 player out of Nevada and is tabbed as the No. 23 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot, 195-pound quarterback held 13 total offers, most of which were from the West Coast. He had one other B1G offer from Nebraska. He chose Penn State over Arizona, BYU, Oregon, West Virginia and others.

Penn State now has five commitments in the 2020 class. The Nittany Lions currently rank 16th nationally and fourth in the B1G.
