Syracuse head basketball coach Jim Boeheim was involved in a fatal accident on Wednesday night, in which Boeheim’s car struck and killed a man walking outside his vehicle on Interstate 690, according to a report.

Per Syracuse.com, the man was in his 30s and was in a car accident for unknown reasons. At some point after the accident, the man got out of his vehicle and was struck by Boeheim’s vehicle.

There were four other people who were in the vehicle with the man who was struck, but there was no report on if anyone else was injured.

According to the report, Boeheim is cooperating with investigators. The accident happened following Syracuse’s win over Louisville at the Carrier Dome Wednesday.

Syracuse.com also reports that driving conditions were icy in spots after the game, but it’s unclear if that played a role in either accident.
