Grady Eifert comes up big in key stretch as No. 15 Purdue notches second-straight road win

Grady Eifert isn’t the kind of player who will appear on many Player of the Year ballots, but he’s been critical for Purdue’s success this season. The former walk-on game through in some clutch moments for the Boilermakers on Saturday.
Eifert finished the game with nine points and eight points, but came through with six crucial points in the final four minutes of Saturday’s matchup against Nebraska. One of those buckets came with the shot clock expiring, giving the Boilermakers a 64-61 lead with under two minutes to play.
FINAL: No. 15 #Purdue 75, Nebraska 72. The Boilers (20-7, 13-3 Big Ten) are tied for first place in the Big Ten.

He also hit two free throws down the stretch. No. 15 Purdue closed out Nebraska 75-72, winning its second-straight road game.
Purdue was led by Matt Haarms, who ended the day with 17 points and nine rebounds in the win. Carsen Edwards and Ryan Cline each had 13 points and Nojel Eastern scored nine. The Boilermakers are now winners in 11 of their last 12 games.
With the victory, Purdue is now tied atop with the B1G at 13-3. Michigan and Michigan State share the same record, but the Spartans and Wolverines go head to head in Ann Arbor on Sunday.
Overall, the Boilers are 20-7 on the year.
